How is this going to work?

I'm going to review each episode as best as I can, and give you my emphatic feeling. I'll judge each episode both by its own merits and by the surrounding episodes, and I won't be cruel to an episode of The Original Series just because the technology is cruel.

Some episodes will be "character" episodes that focus on one particular character. Those will likely draw long, detailed comparisons between other, similar episodes, and a general focus on that particular character. If they are important and driving episodes, they'll be ranked far more favourably.

Each episode will receive a ranking of 1-10, where 10 is fantastic and 1 is utterly horrible. The average episode will be a 6.

I might break this down a little more as we go and toss in some more categories; at that point, this page will change. The earlier reviews probably won't.
